Renting a breast pump from the hospital? Its either that or I buy one. They are so expensive but I want a good one that is gonna last and work properly.

I'd rent until you see if it's going to work. I bought one after my son wouldn't latch but ended up wasting $300 because my supply never fully came in. And manual pumps actually worked better than electric for some reason even though it took longer.

I bought a used one. You can buy all new parts and hook-ups plus a used "motor" for way cheaper than buying a new one.

I rented one from the hospital I didn't keep it long only because DD didn't seem to get full with my milk but it definitely helped my boobs stop hurting.

I rented mine until I knew I could successfully breast feed! You buy your own attachments, so it's clean.

Rent one until you make sure you can do it b/c pumps are expensive! Most insurances cover a percentage of them too. I loved my hospital pump that I rented with my first

rent one! Sometimes the baby won't take to the breast and you may decide you only want to do it for a little bit. My sis bought a really expensive one with her twins and used it for 3 weeks. one twin wouldn't nurse at all and it became stressful with the 2 of them.

I wish you all the best with whatever you decide!
