Second Birth

posted 14th Oct
Is it true that your second birth is much easier than the first? People keep telling me different things, I heard that you dialte quicker but it can be a longer labour how does that make sense

Every pregnancy and every birth is different. I've heard of women having easier second births but I've also heard of them being harder.
My mom was in labour with me for over 30 hours (I was her first) with my next brother, it was like four hours. She has had 5 babies though, and mine and her last (my little sister) were her worst.. the three boys in between were the shortest and easiest.

My first was even overdue lol. She did not want to come out. My oldest son was early and hadn't dropped, i couldn't get out of bed and move around because his heart rate had spiked, so i know that didn't help.

My first my water broke and she was born 1hr45min later.
My 2nd I went into labor after having my membranes stripped and she was born 6hours later.
My 3rd my water broke and she was born 6 hours later.

Even though my first was faster...all 3 were easy.

My second was definately easier but I think it was because I knew what to expect. Both were natural. I wanted the epi with my first but didnt have enough time. Total labor was 1 hr 45 minutes. It was fast an intense and I was totally unprepared.

My daughters labor was even quicker but much much easier. I was prepared and easily breathed through the contractions. I felt absolutely no pain! Her labor was 36 minutes !!!"

mine was, but it was induced.

First birth was a hellish 30+ hours. My second was a easy 8.

My first was natural because she came too fast.

My last 2 I got the epi and it was heaven!

You will know...you will feel this overwhelming pressure in your bum. And you will feel tightening from the contractions but they dont hurt. Its nice. It was very painful doing it naturally. I don't like pain.
