making a bottle

sadly my sister listens to her step mother who is a complete idiot. well my sister has been making my nieces bottle's by putting the powdered formula in first then the water. I tried to tell her that's not how you make a bottle but she insists I'm wrong because Jeannette(her step mom) told her that's how you do it. this is the same lady who told her it was OK to leave a bottle out for 24 hour and it would still be good. her reasoning on putting the powdered formula in first is that "if you put the 6 ounces of water in first and then the formula after you shake it up its not 6 ounces anymore its more"

it says right on the directions to always put the water in first.i had to give my mother in law shit several times for making it the other way around.

i tryed showing here but she just kept insisting i was wrong and ignored me.

she told her she could leave a bottle out for 24 hrs!!!!!

on my can it says if they have already drank from the bottle dont let them drink again after an hr..

if they havnt drank from it its fine for 2 hrs not refrigerated..

and u can leave it in the fridge for 72 hrs.

whyyy would she think she could leave a bottle OUT for 24 hrs?!?!?!

apperently some people don't read that kind of stuff.If my kids hadnt drank from it in half an hour i throw it out.i dont even wait the full hour.

becuase her step mother is a complete idiot and my sister listens to her for some odd reason. this lady let her daughter start wearing thongs at 9 and also shaved her own daughters legs at 6. after all that my sister still listens to her.

i usually dont either..
but sometimes Braiden will just drink an oz and then he waits a little bit and drinks some more..
and i make 6 oz bottles..and formula isnt cheap lol
so sometimes ill do the hr thing

this girl i know was doing the same thing, powder then water... she had to take her son to the urgent care cuz he was having problems with his stools and being extremely constipated, he tried pushing so hard that he was red in the face and stopped breathing while he pushed.... he also gained a lb in just 7 days from the bottles being mixed wrong

maybe its just me but i wouldnt listen to someone who shaved there daughters legs at 6. let alone leave my daughter with them and she does all the time.

i put the water in first toobut why cant you put the power in first???

you cant put the powder in first because you cant heat up the formula. you are just suppose to heat up the water first because it can cook the formula.
