re: if you have more than one child (did you buy)

When we had our first baby, we were really poor and got a hand me down crib from my cousin and just used my old dresser as a changing table/dresser for him. My mom just bought some bedding from Target since she couldnt afford much either. The second time around my parents bought a new crib, changing table and dresser and we bought new bedding. Then since we had a third boy we are just using the same bedding as the second one. If we ever have another boy we will use the same everything but if its a girl we will definitely buy new bedding.

i never bought a crib with my kids...they slept in stroller bassinets with proper mattresses around 6-8 months, then i bought a simple playpen with a crib mattress put in, and now my kids are 5 and 2 and sleep in a bunk bed. Would u believe, that the duvet cover i used for my daughters blanket was her uncles (my hubbys younger brother), and it was like 17 years old when I started using it...lol...so i think using a hand me down from a sibling ismt a big deal, especially if its neutral or the same gender color...

Quoting Love!:" did you buy new crib bedding for each baby? I wanted to save money and let her use the nuetral green ... [snip!] ... first biological child he wants to get her everything brand new because she deserves the best which is sweet but expensive."

I wasn't going to buy a new set this time even though i'm having a girl now, my son's was winnie the pooh so it's neutral but my best friend wanted to get her monkeys so that was her present to me. I don't seen anything wrong using some of the same stuff as your first baby, if I hadn't this time around we wouldn't have saved so much

i agree! spending extra money doesnt give the guarantee that you can keep your baby happy and healthy...all baby needs is love and needs to be well fed...the rest of the things are all our wants...if we really think about it...
