Oh good god! Leave her alone!!!

My 2 year old is sick and is incredibly whiny. Well her 17 month old sister is a little bully.  
OMG no matter how many times I seperate them Lila (17 month old) will go up to Reilly (2 year old) and mess with her.
Pull her hair, steal the toy she has, push on her, kick her, etc. Anything that she can think of to annoy her sister she will do!  

I've told her no, spanked her, put her in timeout, tried to distract her, etc. Nothing works for long  

Lila, dude. You're only 17 months! Quit being such a bully! It's not funny. And Mommy is going to flip her smurf if she hears your older sister whine anymore today!!!!

It sounds like she's jealous. Are you giving the sick one more attention than her? Not trying to sound like you're playing favvie's but she IS sick, you know? Maybe the 17 m/o is getting pissed because the other is getting attention? Maybe let the 2 y/o take some down time, and play with 17 m/o? Maybe she'd feel better then?

My kids are like that too. My 3 year old is the biggest bully with her 6 year old brother. She's always doing something to piss him off. She bites him, screams in his face, take things from him, just to be mean. He was just sitting down watching tv other day and she just randomly attacked him. She tackled him and bit him do hard she left a bruise....and then tells him that he's the not nice one for pushing her off of him.

Yeah I'm sure that she is getting a little more attention since she's sick. But I've been making sure to have one on one time with Lila too. I think she is just a little butt head  

Have you tried a favorite movie or book yet? Maybe that would pacify her a bit...

Both of my girls do this at time ( 5 yo and 7 yo). Normally it is just them trying to get either my attention or the attention of their sibling. Especially at 17 months they don't understand that the other one is sick just that she is not playing. I would try to play with her as much as possible while taking care of the sick LO. I know it sounds hard cuz sick ones do take up much of our attention but it will get better and hopefully the LO's sickness is one that will go by fast!

really? my son likes his pack and play..and i think it's because i only use it every now and then. like when i need to take a shower and no one else is here i put it by the door so i can see him and he just plays and plays. i think it's laziness if you use it all the time but if the kid doesn't mind it here and there i don't see a problem. but if the kid is going to scream in it then that's not right but to say it's just pure laziness is making an assumption..

putting a child in it for your reason is logical safety reasons while no one is around but to put a child in it because they wont leave their sibling alone is laziness . IMO and the mother i quoted imo is LAZY
