I ate a lot of ice for the first few hours after I got it done and it kept the swelling down. I didn't have to get it done twice though. =(
The only time the swelling really bothered me was first thing in the morning.
I don't remember eating any differently after I got it done...it was a long time ago though. Haha. I did talk funny for a while, now I talk funny when I take it out.

He said the swelling went down a lot from the time he went to bed to when he woke up. So at least that was a positive

He jerked his tongue back mid-pierce and it was crooked :/ Though, he told me last night that the piercer used plastic clamps the first time. Uh... I've always had metal clamps, they're stronger. The second time he used the metal ones, though. wtf.

Damn, that sounds awful. The plastic clamps are disposable, I wonder if the artist knew what he was doing with them. I feel like you guys should fine a new piercer! Lol after his bloody ears an this.. Damn. I was taught that if you smurfed up a piercing to tell the client that he needs to let it heal first before I can re pierce it, to avoid having an extra hole that needs to heal along with your piercing. All artists are different though. I hope his tongue heals quickly!

This was two different piercers   The guy who did his tongue has been piercing for 5 years, but is new to the shop where I got my tattoo done. SO keeps complaining that it burns to eat... like the food is getting into the hole or something. I never had that problem

That's crazy. It was just a bad day then lol. I bet what's burning is the first wound. He's lucky he didn't hit a nerve or a vein or something. Just make sure he's using the mouth wash and it should be fine! How's your arm feeling?

Yeah he's been good with the mouthwash.

It's better! It was very red and irritated yesterday because I had to keep washing it (I was working. I had no other choice). Its still poofy. I feel like it's gonna start peeling soon.

Yeah it seems like the first couple days ate always the worst. I just got one on my ribs not too long ago, that was an experience. Haha

Oooh what is it?

I guess it's because I've never had something this big... the pain is different and I'm worried I'm taking care of it wrong. I dunno, lol. I'm so paranoid.
