sure, but they used to induce for no reason at all... increased risk to the baby. Now they know it's not necessary.... and if a mom goes overdue.. its' ok. So.. more first time moms aren't delivering for a couple months after their due dates.

but.. due dates aren't always accurate. that's why they are called "estimated date of confinement" it's just an estimate and can be off by a couple months.

LMAO! yall are funny. But It varies per person. If you go too far past your due date, your doctor will induce labor. I don't know exactly how long your doctor will let you go before being induced. That is something you will have to ask them. Each doctor has their own way of doing things. I had complications so was supposed to be induced 10 days before my due date, but actually went into labor 2 days before I was supposed to be induced so I honestly couldn't tell ya on what happens after the due date. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone going beyond 2 weeks of their due date. But that's just based on the people I know.

I dont think there are many people who deliver on their due date. It's 2 weeks give or take. You could deliver 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late. Doesnt apply to only first time moms.
