Have you tried Colic Calm gripe water?

posted 14th Oct
That specific brand. I've been reading good things. We have Mommy's Bliss gripe water right now which seems to help a little, but not that much. Baby is one month and screams constantly... his tummy is hard, he has reflux... it's bad.

Colic Calm has awesome reviews but wondering if anyone has tried it

None of the gripe water or reflux medicine worked for us. Pedi told me to cut ONE tum up into four pieces. Crush one piece into a bottle, with every other bottle. I am not kidding you, after that bottle it was COMPLETE heaven. He slept longer, no crying, no puking. I cried I was so happy.

Before that he cried non-stop.

I'm sorry. My youngest daughter had it and omg she was the fussiest baby ever. I wanted to pull my hair out. Nobody could handle her but me and half the time I felt like I couldn't handle her. She's so attached to me now because nobody had anything to do with her when she was younger. She'd scream for hours. The thing that calmed her down the most was her swing, like I mentioned to you before. But you may want to take him back in to the doctor, have them switch his formula. Try enfamil gentleease or nutramigen.

They gave me daughter a medicine, I can't remember the name for it, but it was for acid reflux. I had to crush it up and put it in her bottle.

he has his 1 month on the 22nd but I am calling Monday morning and getting in sooner. It's awful. He is in so much pain   He has been screaming for over 24 hours... he will fall asleep for a bit (max 30 mins) and then scream and scream and curl up, freak out, arch his back, scream, turn bright red. sigh

It WILL get better. Swaddle him, that's another thing that helped Brooklyn. OMG it helped her so much.

i'm using Kolic Gripe Water now, ive only used it twice, as my son is only a week old, but ive found it works so well! the first time i gave it to him, he had been screaming/crying for about three hours before hand, gave it to him, and he stopped almost immediately til he realized he was hungry. i find it works well.

Poor little guy! We had lots of problems with reflux and we tried everything from gripe water to chiropractic and the only thing that helped us was to remove milk. He couldn't digest the proteins in milk.

You might want to give that a try to see. I also used gas drops but the mylecon never worked. Hylands gas tablets are a life saver! Hope your sweet boy feels better soon.

Jenell, I saw a mom recommend this in a threa last night, and she said it helped her baby's colic. Maybe ask your doctor about it. She said she had to ask for it at the pharmacy at Walgreens

You dont need to wait for the doc. Formula is over the counter and the special stuff is expensive but not harmful. Get the redy-to-feed bottle of nutramigen or pregestimil or the ones for refux. by the end of each bottle you will know if it helped or not.
sorry for your stress and his pain. It's really hard. mine was colicky well into her 5th month and it had nothing to do with reflux or formuls. just plain, ugly colic. It's REALLY hard. Make sure you ask for and accept help as it's very difficult for the mommy and daddy.

Connor had it all, reflux, colic and milk allergy. I swear he screamed non stop for 3 months. We had to get a prescription for prilosic. We tried Zantac first it didnt help at all. Gripe water was hit or miss. It's not FDA regulated though.
