Spotting before period ? **TMI**

So normally my period is straight forward it starts one day (Always the same day of the month) and ends 4 to 5 days later with no pain even after I had my daughter it was normal after the first month but it has been strange since I had my son, he is just now 7months old. I get this brownish spotting 3 to 6 days before my period starts then the period is heavier than normal and last 5 to 7 days ... Is this normal? Will it go back to being how it was at some point?

My period starts the same, but I have a progesterone deficiency.

What is that? I am kinda worried about it because it has always been the same and plan on going to see my OB but I thought I would ask on here tonight.

Progesterone is the hormone that maintains pregnancy. It builds up right before your period starts, then drops off if a pregnancy does not occur.
