Bronchitis and Sinusitis - home remedies?

Today I went to urgent care because I've been running a fever for three days, have a sore throat, coughing up green gunk, etc etc. They swabbed my throat and the strep test came back negative. But she said my lungs don't sound very good and that I have bronchitis and sinusitis. She gave me Clindamycin and Tessalon Perles (sp?). Is there anything I can do at home to relieve these symptoms besides taking my medicine? I will of course take it but I just wanted to see if there were other ways to make myself feel better too while I wait for the antibiotic to kick in. Thanks in advance ladies!

Robitussin for the cough works wonders!

Does Coriciden (sp) have anything for cough? I know my husband can't take a lot of OTC meds because of his hypertension...
I had bronchitis when I was pregnant. They refused to give me anything but Robitussin.   It was horrible.

Thanks, I hope so too! I will see if my husband can go get me some of that stuff for cough when you have high blood pressure tomorrow. Everything's closed here in town and we don't have a WalMart or Walgreens.

Nobody else has any suggestions?

Crushed garlic on the feet covered in socks or Vicks vapor rub on the feet for the cough. Eat cut up fresh garlic cloves(warning you will smell like garlic) fresh cilantro and oregano. Oil of oregano, echineca oil and grapefruit seed extract. Elderberry syrup is great too. If you do these you will not need antibiotics. Also a fever is needed to fight your sickness but if you feel you need to bring it down take Luke warm baths and use Luke warm rags. Peppermint oil can be diffused with olive or coconut oil and placed on the feet to lower it. Eucalyptus oil in the humidifier can relieve coughing. Raw honey, lemon and fresh ginger in hot water is great for the cough and throat too. Also making yourself throw up can relieve so much of the mucus from the sinus infection. Hope you feel better.

You are welcome. Also if you get these herbs you can take them at the first sign of sickness, up your vitamin d and c intake and you will not e end get sick!

I am big on natural remedies
