DS stopped needing help at 3 1/2. But sometimes, at 4, he still tells his dad he "can''t" do it.

DD wipes fine, she is 3.
I buy her the flush-able wipes though, she sucked at using toilet paper and kept using an entire roll and would still not get it all, so the wipes are better for her.

You know what this reminds me of? I had a little girl in my daycare who was 4 and one day decided she did not remember how to use a regular cup, she obviously knew, but she started wanting to only use a sippy and would purposely spill her drink if we gave her a regular cup. It ends up that there were circumstances outside of daycare that was making her "act out" and basically attempt to start reverting. Now I am not saying anything traumatizing is happening with your daughter, but maybe its her trying to not "grow up", if that makes sense?

Or maybe she had an accident or something (at school? ) and it was embarrassing and now she's worried she isn't doing it right?

She hasn't had any accidents or problems... but, SO does talk a lot about her being the "big sister"... maybe it's that...

I didn't even think of that!

That could be it. My mom decided to have another baby when I was 10 - talk about green eyed monster. I basically acted out in every way possible for a 10 year old. Once my sister was born, though, things went back to normal. I stopped being jealous and just wanted to play mommy.

Spawn kisses my belly and says this is her baby all the time... but then she goes through the "I'm still a baby too" phases.

Aww, I think it's pretty normal, to be honest. Who *wouldn't* want to be the baby? I think she's just old enough to realize whats happening.

She has been with me every step of this pregnancy, so she really does get what's going on... but yeah, I think maybe she is acting out in a way. Thank you for reminding me that kids do that! hahaha

My daughter has been doing it since 3. We use the wet wipes too for poo. I don't think she is fully or wiping because every day we change underwear, there is skid marks and pee stains. Ew. Gross.

I give her baths daily to make sure she is at least clean when she goes to bed. That way she doesn't get rashes. But I'm still trying to get her to clean correctly. She folds a couple pieces of toilet paper and acts like she's wiping, but I don't think she's really doing it. >.>

My son is te same age and thats basically what he does, too. (When he's not actually full on poo-ing in his pants, still - don't get me started, lol). I've been putting the baby wipes in the bathroom for him to use, though, and it seems to help get things a little cleaner.
