Maybe you could start a new tradition... like get her an art pad and she has to draw you a picture until her sibling wakes up. Or do journal writing or something..

But she definately should be entertaining herself. My son is three and we cosleep. He usually sleeps until at least 7 which is fine with me but occasionally he will wake up super early. I turn on disney junior and he knows to lay quietly in bed until his sister wakes up or I take him downstairs. He stays completely quiet unless he needs to go potty!

I sleep on the couch because my husband snores like a bastard, and my youngest never slept anyways so I was up all night long going in and out of his room-SO still snores like a bastard, lol She has lots to do-I guess that is why I am pissed, she is perfectly capable of entertaining herself she just seems to be being selfish. And I would never sleep past one of my little kids, but at 8 I feel they could entertain themselves until a 'normal' time to wake up. Smurf I hear the rooster at the neighborhood farm crow an hour after we are awake, lol.

I like your idea-maybe give her something constructive to do ahead of time instead of expecting her to find something on her own. What a good boy-can he come teach my kids, lol.

Probably is just bored. That's how my sister is. She's 7 and no matter what my mom does with her all day long it's like she constantly wants more. It's so annoying. I'm like,"Go be a kid and play in your room where you have a thousand toys, movies, and computer games!!!" Drives me crazy lol. Hell, I used to leave my parents alone and go play outside or with my Barbies all day. I know every kid is different though.

Lol. He's super independant anyways! Wish he would teach my daughter first. She is such a morning person when she wakes up she is all smiles and says "GOOD MORNING!!"
