Tongue Bruise?!

Okay, okay, dudes. I think my tongue is diseased.

There's a big smurfin' DARK purple/blue spot on it. No cut, slightly raised....

How the HELL did I bruise the middle of my tongue? Or am I done for?




Any ideas? Or should I go have Google tell me I've got cancer?

Maybe you bit your tongue in your sleep?

Have you taken any peptobismol recently? That turns your tongue black. And if you had one of those little tablet things that would explain the distinct shape..

I mean... it's possible.... it's just in the MIDDLE of my tongue, not on the sides, KWIM? And no teeth marks or broken skin. It's so weird. I would have to somehow turn my tongue sideways....

Even TRYING to bite that part of my tongue is hard. (I'm not really biting, just seeing how my teeth would possibly reach that part of my tongue. bwahaha)

I used to suck on my tongue when I slept lol. It made some pretty funky looking marks on there.

Don't use google it will tell you you have an awful terminal illness you could have done something in your sleep

Hmm. What about in the back, kinda near the molars, but in the middle of the tongue? The placement is just so awkward to think it's biting or something.

I saw a thread about something like this about a month ago. I think that person decided it was something to do with a taste bud?? Being infected or something...i don't remember :/

Well, that's the thing. I noticed it at dinner time last night.

So it had to have happened the night before-- and I didn't even know it was there until last night? Bah. Stupid tongue.

lol, never had mine bruised but had mine super sore and wasn't sure why.
