Let me start by saying that some of the comments on here got me to get out of the bed so I could tell you people how smurfing stupid you sound.

OP, you are not a failure. You did what you could. I lost my virginity 8 days after my 15th bithday. You can't tie down a teenager.

As for the boyfriend, it's up to you and your husband but she is living on her own with 3 children.

It's good that you were realistic and got her on BC despite your beliefs about teenage sex. I think you probably overcompensated by taking her out of school though and perhaps she was looking for ways to rebel.

I won't lie, I'm kind of shocked that your daughter is only 17 and raising 3 kids on her own but.....
Your daughter is living in her own place, paying rent and raising 3 kids... why exactly is she asking for permission for her boyfriend to move in? As long as her BF is a good guy, helps her, treats her and the kids the right way and contributes to the household then it should be HER decision. Unless you had her sign a lease stating that her and the kids would be the only ones living in the house then she shouldn't need permission to have her BF (or anyone else for that matter) move into her home.

...I cant believe I just read six pages of that smurf. lol OP, from what your saying, [and unlike these other ladies, i dont need to know your life story to offer an opinion, seriously, who cares at what age they had the talk and what kind of birth control shes going to use? none of your business anyway] but your daughter sounds like she's doing the best she can for her kids, and if her boyfriend wants to be there and help, especially with kids that arent his, i say let him.
maybe you could have a sit down with them and express your concerns, that way, everything is out on the table and everyone is on the same page.

Regardless of the fact that it is her daughter, in most cases, landlords have to give permission before another tenant moves in. It is certainly not uncommon.
