Basic household items..

What are some basic household items?
Me and my little family (boyfriend/ baby daddy & son) are gonna be moving into our own house soon and I need a list to go shopping with...

Kitchen stuff... oh god, there is so much that a person 'needs' for their kitchen. Lol!

what 'd do is plan your first weeks meals and write down EVERYTHING you will need to make them including the dishes,knifes, forks etc...

Same here! Living together for 5 years and last week I wanted to put soup into bowls and I was slowly dishing/pouring it out of the pot with a small soup spoon.  
Why the eff don't I have a ladle ? lol

Some sort of cleaning item like a broom, vacuum and mop. You'd be surprised how quick a place can get dirty especially on moving day tracking all the boxes and dirt from outside.
