I would never want a child to call anyone mom but me
She would never be their mother

I know many many people who are divorced and none of them have the kids call them or the other person a parental name. It's a crazy idea to me unless the parent is not involved at all

What you don't get is that if the child feels it they will do it on their own. No one made my call my step dad, dad. I started doing it on my own. What's crazy is trying to rob me of that, or any child of that special bond with a step parent and undermine that relationship.

Good thing their dad isn't involved then

Why though? It doesn't take away from you as the mother, you'd think you'd be happy and want them to have an amazing relationship.

She can be called her first name as she is not a mother

I'd tell her "she isn't your mom her name is_____"
