Asperger's??

I was wondering if anybody has a kid that has this? I have a question

I grew up with my cousin who has it and I know a lot about it from him.

I'm not sure if my nephew has it, but he does show signs of it.

My cousin didnt talk until he was 5, just babbled. He also was always overly fixated with one thing at a time...like that topic is the only thing he would talk about. He is 21 and still like that. He is socially awkward and doesnt understand emotions that much ((like sarcasm.)) He will get frustrated if something changes, simple things, like the time of dinner. It can come off as "spoiled" if you don't know much about it. He wants things HIS way. However, he excels in schools and always maintained above a 3.5 or higher GPA, even in college. He also has his first real girlfriend this year, which is awesome!

My nephew does the repetitive behavior. When he is in trouble and being talked to, he rubs his eyes, avoids eye contact, picks at his fingernails, etc. He also has coordination issues. There really is a long list of things that my nephew does that relates back to Aspergers. But he also has ADHD and his on medication for it.

Well my son is going to be 3 in November. He's very smart not behind in anyway BUT he flaps his arms (like he's a bird lol) when he gets excited about something he also shakes his face at the same time its hard to explain but he does it everyday when ever something fascinates him or excites him. he's done this ever since he was a baby. I was wondering if anybody who has asperger's does this? I've never mentioned it to a doctor because he is very advanced for 3 and is not behind in ANY way and I don't want him to be "labeled" if you know what I mean..

Something like could just be one of those strange things that kids do! Sometimes kids have a hard time containing their excitement about certain things. Since he doesn't seem like he's behind in any way, Aspergers probably isn't what you're looking for.
