I have a yeast infection?!

Please note I am a clean person. Wipe from front to back, wash hands after everything, I wear clean cotten panties everyday but I have a yeast infection. It's so uncomfortable and itchy and I feel like crap. What else can I do to make me more comfortable because I'm on day two of three of anti-fungles and I'm so uncomfortable. And can having merina have anything to do with getting this?

Don't know about causes. I've only had one but it was seriously awful. I don't know how women who get them chronically deal with it.

I don't know if mirena can have anything to do with it. But yeast infections definitely suck. I get one everytime I take an antibiotic and I always feel so awkward going to the store and buying the treatment kits. Not the mention the fact that the inserts tend to leak out which just makes you feel more uncomfortable. Usually for me the fourth day is when it gets better.

I agree!! It's the worst feeling in the world. This is my first one and I hope it will be my last one

I am 35 and just got my very first one..this might be TMI..but I started to stink down there and I thought my hubby cheated on me and gave me an STD..I about killed him, I went to the DR and I have a yeast infection cause I pee so much and was always moist down there..

That was my first thought too because he has one too! But I was told that since it always moist down there that that's how I got it.

Yeast Infection or vaginitis is a typical complication of Mirena. Thus, I would suggest that you make the necessary modifications in your diet by reducing your intake of of food items that have high sugar content and those that contain yeast. I have friends who had their mirena removed when they developed yeast infection
