kids with asthma

posted 12th Oct
i have a 5 year old who has had it since birth, but ive noticed lately with the change of seasons, it seems to get worse. its uselly pretty controlled with the meds he takes every day, but idk the last 5 days (since it got colder) its been getting worse. if you have a child with asthma as well, is this how it is for them too?

Yes, summer to fall is our WORST season! Once it snows and things settle my son's symptoms seem to settle makes for a long few weeks till that happens though.

My son seems to have mellowed up in worseness of symptoms from last year to this year. However the thing that worked the best for us that we've added since last year is a nasal spray! Its amazing how much it helps

Prednizone often? My son has the same asthma medications as your's with Nasonex added (nasal spray). He also takes his ventolin (rescue) 15 minutes before gym class at school as a preventative measure during flare up seasons.

the prednizone is only a 5 day thing, just to get him over the change, but i hate giving him steroids.
