Those who have a toddler and infant

posted 12th Oct
I shouldn't say toddler, a 4 year old. Does anyone have a 4 year old and an infant? What do you do for a stroller? I know it's stupid to have a 4 year old in a stroller, but we do insane amounts of walking and she gets tired and smurf.

Has anyone tried one of types?

'I have some concerns about this one, for starters I'd much prefer a stroller I can click my car seat into. Also, my daughter would be WAY too big for the front I think? I think it would look silly.

Which leads me to this one, the car seat clicks in, but what do you guys think about the standing/sitting ones? It looks perfect but I'm curious about how practical it is in real life use.

My daughter and I spend like 4 hours at the mall at a time, it's mean for me to not have a place for her to sit. Do you have any problems with the sit and stand?

I have the sit n stand for my 4 year old and 18 day old and love it. My son loves that he has his little spot in the back where he can stand and he has his own snack and drink holder. Hes a pretty big 4 year old so when we went to try out the graco one, he didnt fit so well in the front seat and it seemed like more of a hassle in general. I wanted something more simple and less bulky and thats what I got with the sit n stand.

Well kids need exercise it doesn't hurt them to walk, kids look silly like this

And I think people see that and assume I'm too lazy to parent my kid to stay put and she's lazy and inactive, clearly headed for a lifetime of obesity

But like I said, we do an insane amount of walking.

Have you had any issues with it? That's kinda my situation, I just want to give her a chance to sit and relax if she wants.

I have a big ass double jogging stroller. The baby's carsear clicked into one side of it when he was little. Katie will be 4 next month and she fits in it very easily. She probably will for at least a year more.

Is it awkward to maneuver? I always thought those looked hard to deal with.

Sit and stand or get a one person stroller of your choice and one of those attachments so Brooke can stand/sit.

They hook up to any stroller.

Nope. Its wonderful. I have the baby trend navigator. The two front wheels lock for jogging but swivel when its unlocked and it turns with one hand. There are some doors I cant get through with it though.

Attachments? I didn't even know that was an option. Thanks Mary!

I don't give a smurf what other people assume about my parenting. I know my kids get plenty of exercise. If we're out for a long time or we've walked a long distance and his legs get tired, I let him sit in the stroller. The sit and stands seem silly to me... if my legs are tired, I'm going to want to sit, not stand. The same for my child. Meh.
*edit, I'm looking at a picture of a sit and stand and I didn't realize they had the option to sit OR stand... that's what it should be named, lol.

Oh sweet! Except the doors things, I wonder if they're easier than the really long double ones, where they sit like infront of each other rather than side by side.

I hear ya, but I do give a smurf, that's why I said in my OP that I know it looks silly, to prevent people from saying "Make your kid walk, she's in school already damnit" It wasn't supposed to be a big thing.
