Oh how familiar that sounds.

My kid is just way too independent. He does not want you to baby him, hold his hand, ride in the cart like a baby. (cept when their those car carts, lol).

When my son was 18 months old, I put him in the basket part of the cart because I was only getting a couple things and he liked standing in there. So I reach over for literally 3 seconds and look back and he is GONE. My mom said she sat and watched him from 10ft away - he lifted the part of the cart that allows them to be "stacked" or whatever and jumped out. 18 months old and he was able to do that. Luckily my mom was there and grabbed him.

I DID THE DEAD WEIGHT THING TODAY TOO!! Omg. lol And then we had a chase around the car in the parking lot because he got lose from me. His stroller will NOT keep him in. My son is so nuts, when he was 9 months old he would try to flip himself out of the crib!!! He would willingly fall 4 feet.  He has like no sense of danger... is that normal???

My child is a monster.

Question:: For moms that have considered or have used a harness, was your child high needs as an infant???

Mine was not - he's pretty average. Just a crafty little stinker who doesn't like being babied.

My youngest, Basil [8 months], tries to climb over the toddler rail on my bed [we co-sleep]

Jack wasn't high needs as an infant. He was quite laid back, really.

My child loves the car carts!! I have to distract him when entering the store so he doesn't see them. Because he will throw a fit if he can't get it. lol I'm too fat right now to be pushing that thing around. lol

I have a love / hate relationship with them. On one hand, he does tend to behave better if he's in one, on the other hand, they are SO awful to maneuver, I end up knocking smurf over or running into people. >_<

I used one with my oldest when he was first learning to walk because he loved it.. He wanted to wear is at home! Then shortly after he learned how to walk my second was born and it was just SOOOOO much easier especially when we went out in crowded places!

I agree with this.
I don't personally never used a leash. My 3 1/2 year old and my 23 month old don't even like using a stroller, so I just take them out without one (most of the time). But my youngest is permenantly my shadow so she feels she has to be glued to me or I hold her/put her in a wrap and my 3 year old loves walking next to me and most definitely knows not to go in the street.
But I understand that not never child is like that so there's a place for it.
