How? I don't think they are stupid, i don't think they are gang-bangers or anything like that. I never think they are bad parents, irresponsible or bad people. I don't think anything negative about them.

How is being a bartender, a waiter, a tattoo artist, a mechanic or whatever a negative thing? You would only say I have a negative opinion of someone who has body modifications if you think negatively of said workers.

I'm not sure, she just told me today. She moved out to Philly on a whim and new she's coming back. No kids but I wish she'd have one!

It's a simple first impression... doesn't mean I snub anyone or am ever rude to them and the majority of my friends have some sort of modifications (many are simple) as do I (tattoo).

No not at all but I can't help but think that the tattoos look so nasty. I think they look pretty gross lol but that's just me. I don't think any less of the person. My SO has four of them on his arms.

Body modifications do not define you as a parent.

All the occupations you just mentioned are typically decent paying jobs? The mechanics at the railroad I work at make around $60k a year to start.

I think people sometimes associate blue collar with unsuccessful. My SO and I are both educated. We chose blue collar trades. I'm an operator, he's a truck driver. We make well over six figures together.

Hell even my father. He's been a mechanic for 34 years, talk about making money. That man does.

To each their own, but I don't think they fall under the categories of "gross" & "nasty" for people who say they don't like them. I have 1 tattoo & plan on many more. I think body art is beautiful. There is some body art where it makes me   why they got it because to me some of them look so hideous or poorly done.

My dad was a truck driver in the USA for awhile too!

Around here, not high paying jobs... sad, really, but yeah...
