re: Names you hate

I love it! hahaha One of my favorites, but no one else likes it. No one else seemed to like Winifred either.

There is a kid at my daughters preschool named Rowdy. WTF kind of name is that!?

It reminds me of "harlot".

Seriously, it's a really great name! It's classy, sophisticated, provides great nickname options, sounds mature and will age really well....but I cannot like it, I can;t like Scarlett, either, so I think it's the T ending.

Winifred, on the other hand, is stinkin adorable, I would love to see someone use it.

Winifred was on my list for girl names, it was also my great-grandmother's name....

EVERYONE vetoed it.    

I hate when people name their girl Bradleigh. UGLY.

Don;t let family talk you out of a name, especially one you obviously love and has meaning to you. I let my family have their say and my son is now 3 and I really dislike his name. (it's Caleb, it's not bad on someone else's kid, but I don't love it and it's way popular.)

I really like Winifred. Love the nickname Win too.

Winifred reminds me of Tuck Everlasting. Good books, great movie.

You should! It was a good book, and unlike a certain vampira chick (ahem Bella Swan), Winifred is actually level-headed. She will make you LOVE the name even more.

haha - She seemed pretty cool in the movie too! I cannot find many books in English here and hate reading novels in Spanish.

I swear, next time I go to the States (to visit) I'm buying a million and two books! hahaha
