I've forgiven my abusers, and I can tell you that there is more freedom in doing that than what there would have been by getting revenge.

Justice should be served, I think, but there's a special freedom in forgiveness.

locked with the family..I always have said..if someone hurts my children they better pray the cops find them before I do.

I think they should meet the firing squad and the victim's families can watch if they choose.

I disagree. Justice is supposed to be blind. How can it be justice if a it's just anger, if it's just revenge? Also, I think that even if there is anger, it's rarely served and people are rarely healed by violence, even to the person who hurt them.

What if the accused isnt sorry, and doesnt feel emotion... i believe it would be harder on the family

Personally, I agree with this. & then if they're lucky enough to make it out of the room alive they should have to serve time.

I would love to say it's a good idea, but as a Constitutionalist, I really can't. The Eighth Amendment to the US Constitution prevents a person from experiencing cruel and unusual punishment, which this would fall under.

My abuser suffered tremendously by his own actions without me ever seeking revenge on him.

Eh...I would probably turn a blind eye.

I think if the family took out revenge on them, they're just as bad and just as guilty. Two crimes don't negate a crime.

And exactly what would that solve? If you murder/torture your or your child's abuser, you are just as guilty.

The person would be dead. If someone killed my only child, I'd have nothing to lose. If my husband didn't get the bastard, I would if given the chance.
