whey protein?

posted 12th Oct
I am currently on a weightloss plan, my exercise routine goes like this

Most days: 35 min walk, and whatever exercise is on some level one list I found on pinterest, like 50 juming jacks, 15 crunches etc. And a 1600 calorie diet
2-3 days a week 100 crunches, 50 push ups, 50 squats and I alternate between crunches/situps, lunges, reverse crunces etc. To switch it up.
Dancing 35 min

I have read whey protein can help dramatically with weightloss and is supposed to be healthy but I have also read of some scry side effects.

Is this something I shoud try? Is it safe or just another fad trend like hoodia, acia berry?

I plan on vamping up my workouts, im starting small. I plan on buying zumba or something next month.

whey protein is just a protein. not a diet pill or craze. It's good for you but too much will just turn into fat, just like any extra carbs and sugar you consume.

I use whey protein in my shakes after a weight training workout to rebuild the tissues while sleeping. Other than that I dont get crazy. (this was before pregnancy) I dont think its good to take just to take or only doing cardio. It can make you gain weight.

It's not bad for you at all. Just your body only breaks down so much a day.

Ok thanks so much! I was totally misunderstanding the descriptions for it . I thought it was for weightloss strictly.

So, for after a strength workout does it help e
ase soreness?

Would it be safe to take with a multivitamin?

I dont know how much is helps with soreness..if you did a good work out it will still be sore. It just helps with the rebuild. You can take a mulitvitamin but be careful some arent geared towards women and might have too much of some vitamins that can be bad for you rather than good.

i use jillian michaels brand vanilla whey protein. I make it with dannon light and fit greek yogurt, flax seed, 1/2 cup coconut milk and PB2 . I use it for a meal. Today I used it for breakfast. Im on a 1200 cal daily diet.

Oh okay. I take womens one a day active metabolism. Im super paranoid when it comes to weightloss products or any kind of supplement because of a bad experience so im really uneasy about mixing things like that. I'm a little fitness and health illiterate besides basic knowledge of diet and exercise lol.

It does help ease soreness after a work out because it helps rebuild the muscle you just broke down.
And it is safe to take with anything really, just think of it as eating a steak but without the fat. It's just protein and nutrients really

whey protein is a muscle repairer/growth after a work out and a energy booster before a workout, it can also replace a meal a day if your pressed for time.
It can also aid in weightloss because protein usually fills you up for longer so no need for snacking.
itll only make you gain weight if you consume tooo muchly eg.
I have one for breaky ........... lunch is normal then protein before my workout then after so im consuming 3 protein shakes a day, dinner as normal
