in this economy, you do what you gotta do to support your child. if he can't physically be there and he can't financially be there, you need to do what you feel is best. it's not your DD's fault he's in jail, so why should she suffer? As long as its for her needs, I would feel that it's what you have to do.

even so, i'm sure what she'd get paid per hour, she'd give half of that to childcare expenses. the father isn't helping her - so sometimes women need to do what they need to do for that child.

You could get in trouble with the law for stealing if it's worth over $300 or something. Doubt he could prove you took them though.
