How am I jealous? If I wanted to go out all the time and never be at home with my children I easily could. I choose not to because I do not want to. Sure I like my own private time and I have that time and when my husband and I want to get out and can get out, we do, but a lot of weekends we spend doing family things like going to the pumpkin farm or going the families home for dinner or having friends with kids over and having a few drinks by the fire while they play...needing to be out on the town every single weekend is not anything I would be interested in doing, so I am not sure where the jealousy lies. I am 31 years old, the bars are mostly filled with young people who are single and on the prowl, and I have nothing really in common with. I do lots of great things, but being out at the bars every weekend is not one of them and I have no jealousy in that/

LOL no, the bars are not full of single people... nor are the strip clubs, surprisingly. Around here, you get a LOT of couples, out to enjoy themselves as a break. Hell, I met a stripper on my birthday, had a great conversation about kids and babies with her. I would LOVE a mini vacation from DD... 1 or 2 weeks of R&R... omg that would be heaven...

haha. Not being with my babies! My husband has forced me to leave them on occasion to go to the movies, or out to eat at places without kids menus and I hate it lol. I get depressed and feel sad and won't even hardly have conversation. lol

Being a stay at home mom has caused some separation issues with me. hehe

So, what's wrong with SINGLE parents going to a bar again?

Because you are uninterested... means everyone else must be uninterested?

I was like that too, trust me. Then I started classes and HAD to let her go with her grandpa while I was in school. It's way easier now, LOL.

lol I have no doubt that once they start going to school, I'll be looking forward to school starting back every year lol

I have friends who go out. I have family who goes out. I have no issues with those people at all. I have stated the issue I have and I am not going to continue going around in circles. If you find it acceptable to never be at home raising your kids and being out all the time than good for you and we can just agree to disagree. The fact that you do it is not reason enough for me to find it acceptable as much as you obviously do not find my lifestyle acceptable.

Oh I meant ME in class. I'm in school to be an Early Childhood Educator. So DD HAS to go with her grandpa, you know? ^_^ I look forward to classtime now!

There is nothing wrong with them being at the bar..there is an issue with them being there all the time, more than at home, caring more about being at the bar than doing anything with their kids...basically having others raise your kids while you are out....that is my issue.

Going to a bar qualifies as never being home to raise your kids? Even if you go out when they're already in bed?

And I highly doubt in the 200 pages of BS I didn't read anyone told you they think you suck for staying at home with your kids.

Oh it will. You just need to actually let them go every so often and not worry about them... If they're with a family member or something, I'm sure they're fine! Or I'd get a call, lol!
