Long Day
posted 11th Oct
I had kept Cameron home from school today (he was off yesterday too due to a teacher development day) so that was the beginning of his madness (upset). Well we ended up going back to the neurologist (we went Sept 11, 2012) today and she had taken him off the abilify she tried him on last month and put him on Risperdal now. He wasn't happy at all going in there or the elevator, or the exam or waiting room (its in a bigger building). So now we're trying this Risperdal and she said if this med doesn't work then there is nothing more she can do and that Cam will have to go to a child psychologist.
Side note... the abilify worked great the first 2 weeks, but the last 2 weeks of it he was screaming and paranoid of everything and he was regressing at school not wanting to do his centers or group activities (playing together outside, circle time, etc.) and he would cry at the drop of a dime for no reason.. she's hoping this Risperdal will make him where he still doens't bang his head like he was, and maybe not make him so paranoid/upset...
im sure a lot of this makes no sense, and i probably shouldn't have typed it at midnight super tired. lol
