Irritated with Mother in law.

I just don't know what to do. I live with my EX's mom and we were or i thought super close. She doesn't speak with her son and we get along great.

Tonight my mom came over and left her phone.. I grabbed it and brought it in my room until she came to get it. She received a text which I thought would be my sister asking if I had it and it was my ex's mom.. Her phone shows who it is but also the beginning of the text.
What i read wasn't very nice so i opened to read it.
I read all the text from both my mom and my ex's mom. She had been telling my mom stuff like : The house is a mess and i'm tired when I get home from work so i don't to have to clean.. And that her friend saw us at the store and my LO was climbing out of the cart while I was texting and wasnt paying attention to her.
It such bull smurf.. She cant say it to my face, yet to my mom?
And the stuff she was saying was BULL Smurf. My mom even came over today before I knew and say the floors looked really nice, which is what they look like when they're BAD.. I clean them literally EVERY day, but with a 2 year old its hard to keep hard wood clean... We don't eat in the living room EXCEPT for my exs mom. My mom even said thats unusually because i'm such a clean freak which i AM. As far as the climbing on the cart at the store.. YES my daughter was climbing form the back of the cart to the front where they're SUPPOSE to sit. I was watching and STANDING right next to her.. BUT my daughter refuses to let me help her.. She wants to do EVERYTHING on her own. So instead of having her screaming, i 'help' her.
This is EXACTLY what my ex said his mom did to him.. She doesnt want to 'rock' the boat so she doesnt say anything..
She also said its sad that my LO isnt in preschool more.. Shes there twice a week while I work. I have to pay for it OUT of pocket.. It'd be MORE then I make if she was there EVERY day. My mom and step dad are helping pay for it but my exs mom ISNT helping pay so she cant really say.
She also said she doesnt think I want to work because I got 'tired after my first day' after only a few hours.. which was this week.. I was SOO excited. I worked from 9 AM until 8 pm... I work at a cupcake shop that my friend owns.. That's not a 'few hours'.. I was soo busy working there on my own, i didnt eat lunch OR dinner.

I'm just soo irritated.. I understand its 'her house' and i AM soo grateful for what she's done but this has happened before and it's SO frustrating.
I just wish she would say it when it HAPPENS and to ME not my mom..

Maybe she was just venting to your mom, since your mom probably knows you well enough to know how you truly are. I think it's better that she doesn't say anything to you, I mean what's the point of causing friction between you over something like that?

She should be addressing the problem to you instead of talking smurf. It just looks like she's just complaining. If she really had an issue with you then she should have the balls to tell you.

I moved in with my exs mom when i was with her son and my LO was newborn.
It seemed like it worked really well. we got along great.
Her son and i broke up and she ASKED that i stay because I was looking for a new place..

She should address you, and your mom probably should have told you about it. Sounds like its time to move out.

OP my SO & I are living with his father and step mom to save money so my SO can finish up school. Anyways, when we first moved in my SO dad or step mom would complain to my SO about me doing something they didn't like & then they would complain to me if SO was doing something they didn't like. I think they didn't like confrontation, but I hate it when people can't come up to me and tell me what their issue with me is. I have learned to just deal with how they address their problems, but I definitely understand where you're coming from.

This is why I will never live with anyone's parents lol...not even my own ugh....I like my own place, my own rules....and so no one can bitch about how my house is except me!!
