Measuring 3 wks ahead at 24 wks.

I had a Dr appointment today and baby boy is doing good. Heartbeat was in the 150's as usual. I gained 9lbs within the last four weeks though AND she said he's measuring about 3 1/2 weeks bigger. Is that bad?
My next appointment is four weeks from now (then I'll go every two weeks) and she said if he's still measuring big, then she'll schedule me an ultrasound and I may have to have him a bit early if he gets too big.

This is just so different from my first pregnancy. With my daughter everything was right on track and she was so tiny when I had her. I guess our baby boy is taking after his daddy because he was like 9lbs when he was born!

It could just be how you carry. I was the opposite. I measured several weeks behind and had an average baby and a larger than average baby.

I had gestational diabetes, but I was measuring almost 4 weeks ahead at 23 weeks. By the end of it, my son came out 10lbs 7oz. I guess thats better than the 12-13lbs that they said he would be.

If he still measuring big by your next apoitment I think what they would do is chage the due date to an earlier date.

I just feel like I'm going to be huge. I'm only 5'1 so any weight I gain shows really well... & I'm really hoping for another vaginal delivery. Thinking about him being reallllly big scares me! lol.
