Wanting to conceive a girl...

Okay, I know that you can't really decide whether you're gonna have a girl or boy unless you have it done through a specialist, which is not what I want to do. But I already have one boy and I would love to have another baby, but I'd love to have a girl. And yes, I know there is no full proof way of doing this and I even if I have another boy, I will love him just as much as I would if I had a girl. But I hear all these ways you can try to conceive a girl, like the 0+12 method, the Shettles Method, or any of the myths. But what I really want to know...have any of these methods worked for anyone? And I'm talking to those females that have tried to have a girl themselves.

Not sure how to try, but a friend of mine followed everything to have a boy & she ended up having a little boy!

I'm trying for a boy. lol.
I have no tips for you though.... I have 2 girls already, but I wasn't specifically trying for girls.

Yeah I tried for a girl with this one... my Dh just makes Boys apparently lol. None of the methods worked.

I wasn't TRYING for a girl (or a baby, period for that matter  ) but we conceived my daughter only 2 days after my period ended and it did turn out to be a girl.. I know they say that if you conceive earlier in your cycle it's more likely to be a girl, because those sperm last longer, and if the sex is closer to ovulation it's likely to be a boy cause the sperm are fast but die quicker. This time around we conceived later in the month so I'm very curious to see if it is a boy!

Yeah, I think all in all it's random. I can't see any of these "methods" being too legit. Yeah, it might work for some people, but I think it's mostly coincidences, after all it's a 50/50 shot.

Aww lol my Mom's friend tried for a girl 7 times and she now has 7 Boys

I conceived my son the day my period ended. lol

But I heard the same thing about the sperm, which is why if you have sex in missionary position with him on top, you have a better chance of conceiving a girl because the boy sperm die off faster and the ejaculate is further away from the egg. If you have sex doggy style, then the ejaculate is closer to the egg and a better chance of a boy. lol

Idk if it's true, but I was having sex doggy style when I conceived my son. And with my daughter we weren't trying, so I don't remember what position I was in.
