When is it time?

How do you know when it's time to walk away from a marriage? For those that are divorced or separated, when did you decide "it's time"?

When enough is enough, When your happiness doesn't matter after multiple efforts to help others see it matters, when your sadness outweighs the joy. You will know.. & Maybe when you ask this question.

I wasn't happy
He refused to show any sort of affection to me or to our children
He was a piece of smurf dad who was uninvolved even though we lived in the same house
He was unsupportive of my dreams/goals
Our sex life sucked.
And I met someone else who was all of the above and told him I was finished.

And he never tried to get me back. He didn't want to try, and I was ok with that. We did four bouts of counseling. None of which did anything.

Except in case of abuse, adultery, or addiction, I say it's time when you decide it is. When you're done trying.

He was not willing at all to try counseling and he was not interested in not cheating on me anymore. He was terrible with money, he continually was trying to spend more money than he made and I was trying to magically come up with all of the money to cover his lack of financial control.
He tried to make me feel small and blame all of his dissatisfaction with himself on me. He was blaming me for the choices that he made well before he had ever even met me.
My family kept pressuring me to leave. I could not leave until I actually realized that I did absolutely everything that I could do on my end to make the marriage work. I have never had any regrets that I left.
I felt that I wanted a better life with my daughter. I got a better life with just her, I have no regrets. It was the best thing I ever did.

Therapy made me realize my marriage had been over for a long time, I didn't want to see it. Now I'm the happiest I've been in the longest time.

The money worries are worth my mental sanity and my happiness.
