Right?   I didn't think it was a difficult concept but apparently it is.

What are you looking for here a smurfing hero cookie? Good for you, against your Doctors wishes you continued to work lifting 400lb people while being what 70% effaced at 30 weeks? No, thats not endangering your baby at all

I have a fine chair thanks...... Good for you for being able to sit on your ass 50 hours a week and be comfortable.

I wish I could work! My OB says I'm an "at risk" pregnancy, but I've had like one scare, so idk why. Before hand I was a waitress (Nothing compared to an EMT I know), and it kicked my ass just at 3 months pregnant I can't imagine what you go through! I get uncomfortable sitting, but I think everyone does at some point.
I don't work, and it annoys the hell out of me seeing women complain about how they have to run copies, or sit in offices all day too. I'd gladly trade places with them if I could!!
Does your doctor think its still okay for you to still be lifting things that heavy with how far along you are? I know you said your partner helps, but it still has to really put strain on you?

It's fun to piss people off for your own enjoyment isn't it? It also seems fun for you to put your child's health at risk just so you can be better than the rest of us.
Idiot.

I don't think most of us are pissed off, rather just astounded at her reclessness and inability to consider that different people experience the same level of pain differently, especially considering the field in which she works.

As long as you've been doing the lifting for a very long time and you aren't doing any MORE than you are used to, and your pregnancy is normal and not high risk, then you will be fine.

I think 70% effaced at 30 weeks would not be considered normal.

Pregnancy is hard. Plain and simple. As a mother of 2, pregnant with my 3rd I can understand. Each of my pregnancies have been totally different. I waited tables with my first, on my feet for 10-12hr shifts at a time. With my second and current pregnancy I sit at a desk @ a hospital for 14hrs a day. I gotta say they are equally tough. Pregnancy does crazy things to do your body and can be just down right uncomfortable. No need to play super woman. Take care of yourself and your tiny human you are creating and stop being so concerned with how others deal with their pregnancy. After all, you don't know what factors they are dealing with.

To the OP- they should not be making you work such a dangerous job with your pregnancy...I know a paramedic when she became pregnant they just put her in the Emergency room to do I.Vs and check ups.......they refused to have her in an ambulance, its dangerous to be driving in one little less having a pregnant woman do hard labor with emergency situations.

Also....sitting in a cubicle and in a chair all day....or even standing all day is just as tough on a pregnant girl....just because they are not lifting heavy people does not mean that their backs dont hurt or their feet.....it sucks all ways any ways.
