they sure can i was only 1-2cm and hard when they induced me with pitocin. my water broke and i wasn't contracting good enough for them   i was told that they cant give cervidil if your water is broken.

i will be refusing induction next time

I was going to refuse induction but for any other reason than a medical one. This one scares me and I don't want her in there any longer if she isn't growing and getting what she needs *sigh* . Since I have been induced twice before, I guess this isn't anything new..except for the cytotec. I can't remember if I was a 2 or a 3 with my first two when induced, and I don't know how thinned out I was but they started with pitocin and broke my water a few hours later.

they told me mine was medically necessary cus my water had been broken for X amount of time. i wont ever fall for that bullsmurf again. i'm going to have a nice peaceful home birth next time.

I see, yeah apparently you run more risk for infection in a hospital after it's been broken lol.

The raspberry tea works better than anything. You need tons of sperm in order for it to soften. Drink the tea 4 times a day and I swear to you it works. Gl

No they can't, you're right but they can give another version of cervidil, I can't remember the name, I got it with my second when my water broke without contractions, never had any pitocin

tea does nothing for your cervix but it does help to tone you uterus, so effectively it's good for when you're actually in labour but not for putting you in labour.

you should read about cytotec and I do mean extensively! this is just one website that talks about it.
