The name Soleil? Better yet is that even how to spell it?



Pronounced So-lay.



My husband thought of it and I'm not completely opposed but the spelling I hate.

That is "sun" in French and yep, that's how it's spelled.

I think it's a beautiful word and makes for an awesome name. Ever heard of "Punky Brewster"? The main actress is Soleil Moon-Frye.  

No, it's easy to pronounce and it's pretty . Like Cirque du Soleil.

I like it. I've never heard anyone use it as a name. And if you do use it, I'd leave the spelling the way it is.

Not when you say it like "So-lay" lol other than that, yeah I do.

Never heard the name before and it really grew on me and I like it. I just wasn't sure of the spelling but if that's the.correct spelling then I'm not changing it.


He loves Soleil Marie

Nope, I can hardly speak a word of french and that is one word most people know and can say. I wouldn't personally name my child that, but it's not bad especially if you come from a french background.

I have no French background he does so makes sense

The l on the end threw me off. It's different. The more I say it. The more I like it.
