knee problem

This is for my mom.

She's 39. Lately whenever she goes up the stairs or bends her knees hurt her and sounds as if there are rocks banging together. It hurts her allot. We've taken her to the Dr and can't figure it out. Anyone experience something like this

cartilage loss?

Joints maybe?

I have a double torn ACL & LCL in my knee and it hurts like hell when it's cold and when I walk up a lot of stairs.


Just curious, how old are you? My mom is 41 and im 20, I get asked a lot lol.

I'm 21.

No cartilage? That's what my knees feel like and have almost no cartalige in my knees

would it come on so suddenly like that though?

Not really, mine was gradual. She could have tendon issues

hmm not sure, her chiro says he wants to try to work it out and if nothing happens we'll get x rays and stuff done.

Have her do stretches- google knee therapy stretches. But she shoul see an orthopedist they will do X-rays and mri s faster normaly

cool ill tell her to look into it. They would have done them today but she just had xrays on her back and didn't want to over radiate her

Ah! X ray probably won't even tell her much. Usually need an MRI but I hope she won't need one. And many drs recommend knee therapy beefier anything any way so she can at least get a little ahead of the game

Tell her to go to a chiropractor.

Already did grew has no idea

Has she had her thryroid tested? Or any other symptoms of hypothyroidism? I ask this because hypothyroidism can cause joint pain, especially knee pain. I hope that she finds a cause and some relief soon.
