If I'm on medicaid for my kids and apply for foodstamps for me and my children, do they go after the father for any money? I'm not applying for cash aid or child support..

Yes doesnt matter if you want them to or not. If you live w him and claim his income they WONT but if you dont claim his income or he doesnt live w you they will.

Im wanting to reapply for my foodstamps and medicaid for myself,baby is already covered but i need to go to the dentist super bad to get a tooth removed,but im afraid of not putting SO down and then they go after him for child support, won't help us at all.

It all depends on where you live. I know out here if the father isnt on the case and does not pay child support they will go after them for Medicaid and TANIF but not foodstamps.

great..that's why he's yelling at me....But they never went after him when our DD was at the doctors

Ask the welfare office. Sometimes they only go after the father if you're receiving TANF

I don't have a stable one....I just called the office they transferred me to chid support office, they said no....I wanna rub his hateful little nose in it...It's been 4 months since she's been born and no one has received anything saying he owes them..

I get medicaid and so does LO.... the state does NOT go after my ex for child support.
