you start cutting the tip back when you wean them off....every few days cut back a little more until it's practically gone

It's a tactic to wean toddlers off the paci. Stupid idea for infants. I tried it with my oldest but she was obsessed with chewing on everything and it back fired quick

Get bitter apple spray. You can usually get it from pet stores and it's used to keep dogs from chewing on smurf. My parents used it on me to get me to stop sucking my thumb and it didn't take long for the habit to be broken

Damnit.. at least you have something you can get rid of. lol. Damn son has his thumb. He is currently next to me sleeping with his thumb in his mouth and his other hand on a tag.

Oh I would try that... but he loves washing his hands... Ive tried so many things. I even spent 50 bucks on 3 thumbusters.. And yeah I only know hwere one is.. and if he puts it on.. yeah hewill hide it. Damn kid.

Haha. I was a thumb sucker until I was 10  
So glad my kids aren't thumb suckers. Emma had the paci addiction and Annie was just a boobaholic, lol. My luck will make it so this one will be a thumb sucker, lol

there's a nail polish thing that makes their fingers taste bitter have you tried that? my mom used to soak my sister's thumb in lemon/lime juice or vinegar for 5-10 minutes a few times a day to get her to stop sucking hers lol.

Im lucky. The boys told me that Ethan started sucking on his hand.. and I though oh smurf he is going to be like Adrian. lol. Turns out, he isnt THANK GOD! ahahaha. I hate it. lol.
