Beef Stew meat

I'm a total werido and I've never cooked with the beef stew meat before so sorry if this sounds crazy. I bought it last night and came home and put it in the fridge. When I went to use it this morning I noticed that a few pieces were dark brown inside. Is that normal? There was one piece that on the outside of one side was like a white/tan color. It was that only piece and I threw it away. I didn't smell anything either so I'm sure it's ok just like second opinions.

as the meat ages, it gets darker. wouldnt worry about it. just make sure the meat is cooked and you'll be fine

a while back i cooked steaks for my boyfriends grandmother and times kept getting mixed up so i had to have them sit in their marinade for smurf, i'd say close to 3 days and they were perfectly fine, no one got sick.

I'm a little OCD with my foods at time. There is no way I could let me food sit out that long no matter what.

but they were the best steaks EVER! holy smurf, soooo tender and awesome.
