Car seat help please

My monster of a son has outgrew his newborn carseat (Hes 4 months old, 20 pounds and 26.5 inches), I have to go out and buy him a new one this weekend. What are some good carseats brands for around $100? Preferable one thats convertible if thats even possible for my price range. I dont even know where to begin.

They have some cheap ones at Walmart for like $40. You would need a convertable, he is not old enough for a FF car seat yet.



And wow! My 4 month old DD weighs 10lbs and is 23 inches!

Walmart has some good convertible seats!

Convertibles are rear facing and forward facing but they can't ff until at least one year and 20 pounds.

Convertibles DO go from RF to FF lol thats the convert part of them lol

They are. There is no other car seats that are just rear facing other than the infant ones. Its the infant car seats only rear face, convertible car seats rear face and forward face, and harnessed boosters only forward face.

Is 100 your absolute max? Since your LO is already 20 pounds I would think about investing in a seat that last longer weight and height wise. Otherwise you'll be buying a new seat pretty soon after one of the cheaper ones.

You should do what I did when I picked out a convertible seat for my son. I tried him in the seats and figured out which one he fit in the best, along with which I liked getting him in and out of.

I have the cosco scenera. It goes RF until 35 lbs and FF until 40lbs. I bought it because it was the only thing that would fit RF in my subaru. My DD is 20lbs at 10months. Your lil boy is a BIG boy lol

yes its all i have to spare right now until my money evens back up from moving and he needs a new carseat like...now. If I need a new one in a little bit I should have enough money by then to get him one thats certified for more
