That makes sense.

A 2001 Forrester. The backseat is small compared to my last car. She would fit alot better in the middle but I have a 4 year old that picks on her in the car so I have to keep them further apart or the babys sanity.

Wow really? That's weird I have a 2003 Forrester (same exact model) and I fit DDs Britax advocate behind the passenger seat no problem at all, and that is one of the bulkiest seats you can buy. I have the same problem the boy I nanny is constantly touching her so I have to keep them on opposite sides of the car. He is behind the driver seat FF and she is behind the passenger seat RF.

I bought her a Safety first one and I would have had to push the seat up as far as it goes and I can't drive like that (shes on the driver side due to my oldest running out into the street when she was on that side) and my husband wouldn't be able to fit in the passenger seat to sit. I mean the one we have fits fine. But she goes from the backseat to the back of the front seat.

Quoting Δ ☮ ∂:"   Is 100 your absolute max? Since your LO is already 20 pounds I would think about investing in ... [snip!] ... seat that last longer weight and height wise. Otherwise you'll be buying a new seat pretty soon after one of the cheaper ones. "

Ahhh maybe its because me and SO are both short? I am 5'0 and he is 5'5. So our seats are where they would be normally for us, but I guess somebody who was heavy or had long legs would be a little more squished.

If you plan on buying a seat later you could get a Cosco Scenera or Cosco Apt. Both are around $50 and RF to 40lbs.
