baby showers!

so this will be my 5th and last baby, my bff wants to throw me a baby shower, ive only had them with my first 2 kids and that was 12 and 9 years ago. i know uselly you only have them with your first babys, but my last 2 babies have been boys, so if this is a girl, i have nothing. my only daughter is 9 years old and i dont have any of her old clothes to pass down. if this is a boy im set, everything i have is blue lol. is it wrong to have a shower if i am in fact having a girl? im not asking anyone at all for big ticket items, we have all of already from our son who is 14 mons old. i would only need pink/purple girly clothes and things. not that we cant afford them because we can. i dont want to seem greedy because im having a shower for my 5th baby, heck i really dont even want a shower, its my best friend trying to throw me one.

if someone else is willing to throw you a shower, then I say go for it. I wouldn't want to seem ungrateful and turn it down. But I would tell her to STRESS it's GIRL CLOTHES ONLY if you're having a girl. Though diapers and wipes always helps   lol

My friend.had baby showers for all 8 of.her kids and the last 5 were boys and they are all close in age. Why don't u have a sprinkle then instead of a shower have a party where gifts are appreciated but not necessary now of just a celebration of a new life

I think baby showers for every baby in in your family is a good idea. Its an event to celebrate.

thats kinda what we did for our son whos 14 mons old!   we had a sort of meet the baby party, some people brought things, but we didnt ask for anything, i had most of my 5 year olds things left over from when he was a baby. id like to do that again!

i also have a friend who is having her 5 as well and shes very blunt about having a shower so people can buy her things, shes even throwing her own shower, not because there was no one to do, but because she wanted to make sure she told people what she wanted them to get her   to me thats greedy, i dont want to come across that way.

lol it would be much easier if this baby is in fact a boy lol but i really really want one more girl.
