Return of cycle

posted 11th Oct
Just a waiting game for me now, so I thought I'd ask.
I stopped breastfeeding appx Sept 8th or so. I ended BC Sept 12th. After the end of BC had a very short AF the 13th-16th. But it was super light. Anyway after ending BC and BF'ing how long did it take you guys to get a normal cycle back?

Haha ya. DH doesn't want to be an old man when his kids are growing up. I can see his point lol. So here we is.
I had my first PP AF at 3.5 months, then got on the mini pill. But no real AF since then.
I don't want to get all crazy like I did last time. But thinking of starting temping just to see if I'm even going to ovulate yet.

Well it took a while to have Kinley right? So I can't blame you for being proactive! I say do what you feel is good for you and try your best to not stress (easier said than done right?) Gah!!! I am so super excited for you guys and I hope that it happens quickly!

Yes it took 17 months, but that was post-depo (aka the devil). It was causing me not to ovulate and took me getting on the pill for a month to straighten my cycles out. After the pill we got pregnant withing I think it was 3 months.
He'll be 39 Jan 1st   And ya, I don't want to stress like I did before. I was hoping it'd be an "oops" type thing. No such luck considering I know WAY too much about my body LOL.
Thanks

Ugh I agree, Depo is EVIL!!! I only did 1 round of it and bled 2 out of the 3 months straight! Horrible!
Yeah I can see why he would want another one then!   Do you guys plan on having anymore after the next one or just want 1 more?

LOL! I could never have an oops baby either. Last time AF came back 2 weeks after I stopped nursing. This time no true AF yet, but a stretch of spotting I'm debating about counting (look at my chart and you'll see what I mean). Brighton still nurses at bedtime, but otherwise he's on formula since going back to work. I don't want this to take forever either.

We have a standing agreement that when the baby turns 1 that we discuss what we want to do next. Seems to work out ok. lol
And ya depo is rough.

I can't imagine you having an oops baby ever. You're the TTC expert

My period started at like 7m PP when I was using NuvaRing. Still BFing here.

But after Liza I got my first period 1 month after I stopped breastfeeding... then I didn't get another period for 3 months. It was regular after that. I was on Mirena.

Yeah, an oops seems impossible unless we were trying to prevent and our method failed, but I can't see that happening for me. LOL! My temp had gone up like I O'd, and then when it dropped I had spotting for several days and my temp stayed down. I didn't count it as AF because it wasn't much more than pink when I wiped and I didn't need more than a pantiliner. On the other hand, my temps have been relatively low and stable since the spotting, so I'm crossing my fingers for a "real" cycle soon.
