I think it's a newer law, I had my son almost 5 years ago in FL. You'd think it would apply to all pregnancies though.

My Dr told me if I ever got pregnant again she didn't want me going past 38 weeks because of complications with my old incisions. Not that i'm ever having a baby but that would count as a medical reason. I wonder how I would prove it though. I had my last at a military base in Japan. I don't remember seeing it in my medical records but she made sure to lecture me a few times about it. LOL

I had my son back in 08, in FL.I had an emergency c after going into labor and having some complications. The first thing that popped out of my OB's mouth after he was born, was that I was the eperfect candidate for a vbac with my next.
We discussed induction & I was very much against it, but she told me the restrictions, etc. during the process.

i was induced at 39 weeks cause i was dilated 4 for over 2 weeks and i was leaking they said there wasn't enough amotic fuild so i had to be induced.. i would never ask to be induced.. but sometimes you have to.. i hope this labor & del. goes easier and on her time not mine.. dont get me wrong i would love to hold her asap.. but i would rather see her grow & be healthy & strong

I wasn't saying that I was hoping this baby wasn't as lucky because I do wish the baby is lucky and doesn't have any issues. I was just stating the fact that the baby might not be as lucky as the others.

yes i am a mom and i will have 4boys i have had 6 pregnancies 2 i had MC's with and no bc doesnt work for me i have done the pill twice and the depo and the nuva ring and yes still got pregnant it has taken me with nothing to get pregnant 2 yrs and i dont have periods i have maybe had 2 in the past 2 yrs and not close to the time i got pregnant. but i did post that i get induced not about bc really but i guess you can call me a rabbit yes i am not going to stop having sex just to not get prego and condoms i am allergic to oh and the anal bs ya not even gonna come close to happening for one my husband thinks it nasty and i just dont see the pleasure in it at all. and no my dr wont tie my tubes because she feels i am to young to really want that done and like i said BEFORE my insurance wont pay for it unless i am 24 or 26 or i have a medical reasoning for it not just that i have 4 kids. i posted this i knew how much all of you ladies like to bash moms that just say they want to START the labor process its so stupid it isnt your body to choose what they should do and most of yall make new moms feel like smurf but i could care less because i get to know when my water will be broke and i will be in a hospital not in a store not with my other 3 kids and no way to find my husband or stressin he wont make it so i just set an appt and go in with no pain and my husband by my side and i can plan before hand who can take my other kids which if i just waited no one would be able to take them and then wat i take them into L &D with me uh no they dont let kids back there so i like the planning not spontanious and panic of wtf am i gonna do

That's all fine and dandy, but you could wait longer and not get the induction so early. You haven't tried all of the bc options so you don't know if one of the non-hormonal ones will work for you or not.

Oh, and most women's water doesn't break on on it's own.

oh and the mirena i can not have because my cheating ass ex that i have 2 kids with gave me and std so the mirena will cause the symptons to return or cause me more issues

I'll be honest that I didn't read the whole thing and I'm only posting coz I'm bored but I loved my induction. I was 8 days overdue with borderline pre-E and had been extremely ill in the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy. I was bashed like you wouldn't believe IRL by women in my mothers group/ spiritual circle who thought that I should have held out an extra two weeks. So yeah I know what that feels like.

I think situations like that, are warranted for inductions. OP was talking about being induced at like, 36-37 weeks, for no real reason.

honestly the who posts where about bc and how they love to have there babys over due and i must be lying but no i am not first son iduced just because second had pre-e and 3 just because my dr was going out of town and i was already dialating but only a 2 that day and this one i am sure because my dr goes out of town for december and doesnt want the on calls to deliver me which is good cuz i dont want them to and they will keep me prego till january so i will be induced right before my drs vacation

What's wrong with on-calls? I gave birth in the public sector and had a medical student deliver with no problems.

these ones i would have to deal with are idiots thats dont read and just send me home on norco to get thru pain and dehydration like before and wont deliever me when i am supposed to be deliverd

If you are going in at 36-37 weeks you aren't supposed to be delivered yet. Pregnancy is 40 weeks for a reason.
