My doctor told me

He thinks I won't make it to my DD. why would he say that? I mean I'm 4 weeks away from my dd I haven't been checked for dilation in weeks and I was only at 1 cm. at my appt today he just measured my tummy and then used his hand to feel around my tummy to my pelvic bone. He said she feels extremely low. How can you tell how low she is by feeling my tummy. And just because she's low doesn't necessarily mean anything unless I'm dilated right? Idk just sounded weird to me

Mine said the same thing with both my girls. One came 2 days before her DD and my second was induced a week after her DD.

I wouldn't take everything he says to heart. My OB would tell me things too that weren't always right, they're just opinions.

It's a matter of professional opinion, not a signed guaranteed contract. You can feel where the head is approximately and if she is already starting to settle into your pubic bones then he would be able to tell. The lower she is, the more pressure on your cervix, which cause you to dilate. So they go hand in hand. but it still doesn't mean you won't make it.
