When did your energy bounce back postpartum?

When did you get your energy back? I am 2 weeks pp and feeling exhausted. I am not used to this. I have no energy to clean my house, or do my homework. Caring for my kids is about all I have. I am used to working full time, being a full time student, being mom and keeping a spotless house. Its so hard for me to get used to the feeling of not being able to do anything. I guess I need to be patient with myself because I am only two weeks pp, but Its hard. And I have had a migraine since DD was born. When did you have enough energy to do it all again?

Not until DD stopped getting up so much to eat

I really struggled with exhaustion after Matthew was born. It honestly took 6+ months.

Ugh I am 11 weeks pp and still don't have a lot of energy. I think it will get better once DS stops getting up so much.

At about 4 months when his colic died down.

I've never had this problem. I always seemed to become hyper active post partum.

yeah she is pretty much nursing around the clock. I really need to get on my school work   I hope that I can bounce back before I return to work at 7 weeks pp

The moment he was out. I was running around the birthing center for the 6 hours we stayed there, couldn't stand to sit down. Had a three day energy high that followed then leveled out to normal, haven't felt exhausted since. Normal sleepiness, sure, but not any extreme fatigue.

Probably helps that I only have the one child to care for though. I'm sure it would be different if there were multiple.

I feel like tandem nursing is really sapping my body

It's been 4 years sine I had DD and my energy has never came back

Lets see, damien is 3.. noah is 2.. Nope, no energy.. still. lol

Its like I just nurse one, then nurse the other, then nurse one, then nurse them both. Take my daughter to and from school.Clean up puke, change the baby, then she won't sleep as soon as m is at school, so I fight with her for hours while trying to do homework at the same time. Have no energy to clean the house. And am so exhausted by the end of the night. Then the migraine gets bad as soon as i am about to sleep, then i take something for it. then around 4-5 am it comes back and wakes me up. Then as soon as it gets better newb will puke and choke on it. Then I will get her settled and almost be asleep and her sister will wake me up demanding to nurse.

I am exhausted and my house is trashed. How the hell am I supposed to in 4 weeks add work into the mix fml.

(hugs) Just know that the dishes can wait sometimes. You'll get into a routine.
