Oh boy I don't think youtube could teach me the patterns but hey I have never tried either. I have made blankets but that is as sophisticated as I think I could possibly get. I could use some Christmas money too. I have made all kinds of things and sold them on ebay before. I made these reborn dolls intending on selling them online but I ended up giving the one I finished to my daughter. I am working on another right now and debating on whether or not I will sell it or give it to my other daughter. I guess it depends on how the hair comes out when I am finished. It looks pretty good so far but its hard to tell until it is completely rooted. It would be kind of cool to make some cute little things like that for the dolls though. Was that knitted or crocheted?

i crochet what are reborn dolls

They are baby dolls painted to and rooted hair to look like real babies. They can fetch a pretty penny as well as the fact that they are beautiful. My 8 year old daughter loves the one i made for her. most people dont give them to children but I did. she takes care of it and it is very special to her

Whats really creepy is some adults buy them and pretend they are real babies and bring them places in car seats and all kinds of weird stuff. A lot of people who do collect them display them in a collection like some one who would display their porcelain dolls. I actually got into it to try and make money because you can get hundreds and hundreds of dollars for them but after making the first one my daughter fell in love with it so I gave it to her. Honestly the amount of time and work I put into it is almost not worth it unless I could sell it for over 300 bucks. So I dont think I am going to get rich any time soon making them.
