Have you had a D&C? What was your experience? How was the anesthesia? Did you go to work afterward?

This! Plus my doctor suggested I not work for at least the next day.. Cramping wasn't too bad with the pain meds I received.. I had general anesthesia, the worst part is the emotional pain.. Second worse part for me was all the bleeding!

There isn't a baby to remove, so I think I'm over the mental part, it's a "Clean up"

With mine I was told to take it easy for a week.
I bled on and off all week and I was pretty sore the whole time.

Then of course they told me no sex for 6 weeks or until after my 1st period to make sure I wouldn't get an infection.

I was put under general anesthesia and it only took about 20min to complete. There was a little bit of cramping for about 2 days that they gave me lortab for and very little bleeding. Not nearly as bad as they had prepared me for. My doctor gave me an excuse from work for 1 day, and that was all I needed. I will say thought that a heating pad was my best friend for that first night.

I was very nauseous from the anesthesia, but that's normal for me. Pretty sore for a day or two afterwards. Still bleed a little everyday for a couple weeks afterwards.

The hardest part was losing the pregnancy.

I would still be precautious and take off for the day. Everyone's body handles things differently. I mean, I guess if you really need to go to work you can just leave early if need be.
