Feelin down..

Grrr... Ok. so i was at the gas station earlier since Cam had the day off from school, so I went to get me a coffee and him a treat... as we're in there, Cams walkin around looking at candy and such while im doing my coffee (the girls who work there know him). Well some customer GRABS his arm and smiles at him to get him to stop and talk to her... i turn around and im like "im his mom, and he's almost four" since she asked how old, and im assuming she thought he was alone... well then she lets go but keeps in his way asking him his favorite color, his name, etc. and i said "Im sorry you'll have to excuse him, he's not being rude, but he has autism and is nonverbal nor does he like strangers" (as Cam is sitting there trying to look away from her and move away) I grab him and pick him up and she has the nerve to say to me "Oh I figured he had autism by his facial features. Poor boy" and walked off to pay for her stuff.... UGH!!!!!! as if yesterdays pictures fiasco didn't make me feel bad enough about his autism i have ignorant ppl coming up to me and making me feel worse... why i feel worse idk.... i know Cams awesome.. but geez...

Wow, I really wish people were more educated about autism. :/

me too.. im just feeling all kinds of different emotions, and it usually happens when im already havin a bad autism day with him or something from that week and then having things like this added on just makes it worse.. like im wondering if ppl see something i don't cuz im with him all the time but i know my sons awesome and i know he has autism and whtnot.. but idk =\ he's regressed some, even his pre-k teacher said so... and so idk what to think

aww hun maybe she just said that because of the looks he was giving her? i would deff been giving her some evil looks... or maybe she just didnt know what to say.. some ppl are just rude!
