Know how to spell their name?

What do they know how to spell??

my almost-four-year-old doesn't know how to spell her name but she does know her alphabet and her numbers to a certain point. my five year old just learned to write her name

Nope! She only knows how to identify the letters in her name but shes not at that point of actually spelling her name out yet without help.
We're going to start helping her with tracing the letters of her name out soon.

My three year old doesn't know how to spell anything. I didn't know they were supposed to.

She knows her abc's and her 123's up to 20.
If she spells things she just says ioio and a bunch of other letters/numbers.

She is a little goof though because she won't do anything learning wise with me, when she gets to LMNO She always goes LMNO Pee Pee Fart. And then she will go 123 LMNO Pee Pee and burst out laughing. I am like Oh no I have myself a future class clown. Ugh.

I dont know that they are either, was talking to a coworker and she mentioned what her 3 y/o was doing, mine definitely doesn't know how to spell her name yet lol

My daughter will be 4 in a little over a month, she can spell and write her name on her own. We home school so Im sure thats the only reason why. She knows how to read 2 of the BOB books beginner sets so far too.

Yea the only thing my kid can do is say the letters in the word..but she has no idea that she's spelling an actual word out haha

Haha yeah I know my dad was a SAHD so I knew a lot before I even went to school but then I remember school being really boring for me, because it is what they taught me, I remember knowing everything. LO is just getting into preschool within the next couple weeks or so, but she has been really verbal since 18 months.
We read books and such but I am not a SAHM. I think it really all depends on what you have time for and what they learn where they go.

My little one can tell me the first letter of her name, then she starts throwing in random letters lol

I was in daycare at an early age, and my mom swears at this name I was writing my name, I thinks she is exxagerating lol

My 3 year old cant spell her name, or anything else.
She barely knows her ABC's and she can only count to 3 without any help.
But as far as I knew these are milestones that 4 year olds are expected to meet not 3 year olds, so im not worried my kid is behind, the only things she is supposed to be able to do at this age that she can not do are assemble simple puzzles, ride a tricycle, and copy shapes.

Yup she been spelling her name since she was two.

DD just turned 4 and been spelling her full name Ava-Rose Desimer (lastname) since 2.5 yrs old.

She can spell over 40 words. Every child is different so don't worry about it. I have been doing lesson plans every day for 1-2 hours with my kids since 2. So it gave her an advantage to her peers. Most kids don't learn to till 3-4 yrs old or older.
